Buzz words in health care come and go, and today, “innovation” is one of them. But is it producing results? In this video, Kedar Mate, MD, IHI Senior Vice President, explains why innovation is in vogue. He also suggests some of the results that innovation has created in health care.

Information on a Post-it note could have saved Margaret Murphy’s 21-year-old son, Kevin, in 1999. Instead, she’s left with his story — another tragically preventable death because of systemic problems in health care systems.
