The IHI Open School is an innovative learning community where you can take free online courses, earn certificates, network with peers and experts, and gain confidence and skills in quality improvement and patient safety to change health care.

ICAN_LessonseditedWe have an urgent challenge on our hands: Fragmented health systems are failing to meet the health needs of our communities, and educational systems are not yet teaching the skills providers need to improve health and health care. What can you do? Get involved in the IHI Open School Change Agent Network (I-CAN) to become a leader in population health improvement. The IHI Open School is offering the eight-week I-CAN course, Leadership and Organizing to Improve Population Health, this September 17–November 12. Apply for the course by September 1 or join our webinar on Monday, August 31 at 1 PM ET to learn more.

In a new video short, Dr. Marilu Bintz, Vice President of Gundersen Health System, explains how health care organizations can start building partnerships with the communities they serve.
