Renowned patient safety expert Dr. Robert Wachter is optimistic about technology in medicine. Andrea Jones, an MD/PhD candidate, is the Open School’s newest Regional Leader — and the first Regional Leader representing Canada! Andrea worked on the team that founded the Open School Chapter at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She is researching care for vulnerable populations with mental illness, poverty, and complex conditions. “I hope to make this large country feel a little bit smaller by creating a strong community of change-makers,” she says.
