We’re relaunching our popular project-based training on leadership and community organizing this spring — and we think you’ll like the changes! Renamed Leadership and Organizing for Change, the interactive online course features refreshed online lectures, new content, additional live training calls, and improved materials. Professionals can enroll at the rate of $549. Students, residents, and professors must apply by February 10 to access the course for free. Orientation begins on February 23. We hope to see you there!
Dr. Atul Gawande became a surgeon because he loved the drama of the operating room — the urgent threat to life, and the quick fix that surgery could often offer. Then a primary care doctor showed him the research on the impact of primary care on health outcomes. Now, in Dr. Gawande’s latest piece for The New Yorker, the surgeon writes about the under-valued but highly valuable work of primary care teams to save lives, one small change at a time.
