Sandra Kaus, a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council for Quality and Safety at Georgetown University Medical Center, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Then, two weeks later, she learned her diagnosis could have been caught a year before. “All I could think about was my boys," Mrs. Kaus said. Carroll explains that the research behind you bacon and eggs (or whatever you choose for the first meal of the day) is often funded by the food industry. “More than most other domains,” Carroll writes, “this topic is one that suffers from publication bias.” Read more here.
